WW2 RN officer cap badges
Recently obtained these two unused metal version badges. I assume the top badge is for the beret, but it seems a bit large and it would require sewing on.
When did the metal version cease production and return to wire bullion? CB

That top one is a lovely badge.

It is nice to see another 3/4 size beret badge with the backing felt.
I posted my badge here. https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=77321 Your smaller badge looks like it has been made as a sew on version, while mine is the lugged type with separate backing felt. Barry |

The Beret badge cost me all of 10.00 Dollars here! So many British badges are dirt cheap this side of the pond as few are interested.
I note that most do not have the added bullion chains around the anchor, but are metal integral to the anchor. CB

I have never seen a beret badge like that before, it really is an unusual one and beautiful quality by the look of it.
