Opinion on some items from Brisbane
Maybe the Bulgarian badge sellers have made me suspicious of everything (or just paranoid....)
There are 2 that caught my eye on Feebay today: An RMC badge with a lug attached over the maker's mark - but this mark, rather than being stamped, is in relief (i.e raised), indicating it was present in the casting mold. I've never seen that before. (item 151469925423) A pair of Anzac 'A' insignia with lugs that don't look quite right. (item 151469929651) |

The seller has a lot of good badges but some of them are obvious duds.
Certainly not a Bulgarian as I have dealt with him before. I also don't think he is very knowledgeable about what badges of his are fakes and which ones are real. Mick

hi derekx
although I wouldn't have the RMC in my collection I think its probably ok. there are more variations of this badge than I think of any other aussie badge. what do you think is wrong with the As? again many manufacturers both in Australia and the UK. lots of variations to the position of the lugs and the heights of the As. I think from memory Keith Glyde (Distinguishing Colour Patches of the Australian Military Forces 1915 – 1951 A Reference Guide) says they range in height from 12-20mm bc |
