Arab cap badge
Hi Gents,
Got this badge in a job lot, I have no idea what it is - looks a cracking badge though! Well made and appears to have some age to it, maybe Arabic silver? Would appreciate if anybody could tell me what it is or any other info. Many Thanks Colin |

I think it is a RAF LEVIES officer (RAF Aden Protectorate Levies)

Hi Jerry,
Yes, I think you may be on to something here! I'm now thinking it may be an early Officers badge for the Iraq levies. Hope your right! Thanks for your help Colin |

Hi Zob,
Many thanks for confirming what this badge is. I presume it would have been an Officers badge? Regards Colin |

Not necessarily, as I understand that there were a number of different patterns that were worn by both parties. However, officer’s badges tended to be in either silver or silver plate being surmounted above the Jambiya’s by a King’s Crown and Lion. Regards, Zob. |
