Default CSOR slip on

I recently picked up this slip on, the first CSOR item in multicam I have ever seen.

CSOR and JTF have worn the multicam uniform for a while now, I don't think any other Canadian Unit wears multicam.

Althought CANSOFCOM does wear Multicam at times, as far as I'm aware the slip-ons are not in the system and likely an aftermakret procurement. As for the CSOR tab itself, I've seen some in CADPAT (unofficial) and I do not know if the Multicam ones are official since unit members retain their regimental affiliation. Interesting item, thanks for posting!

Thanks for the analysis YL. From what you say, these are both likely unofficial.
When is the Multicam coming on general issue?

Default CSOR Slip-on

I concur with Richard's assessment of this badge. From what I know about the design features of the Multicam uniform, there is no location on it for a conventional slip-on to be worn on the garment as insignia are now secured by velcro.

As well, I don't think there is a plan for Multicam to be adapted for general issue as the CF has just developed and started to issue a third version of CADPAT Jacket and Trousers that have many features which mirror the latest US Multicam uniform. As well a full range of hi-vis insignia has just started to be issued for this new CADPAT uniform.

Thanks Ed. From the "sidelines" being it is hard to keep up with the development of new dress and insignia.

For the sake of conversation here is an interesting screenshot from a CAF video about Monte la Difensa from last year. Note the CO is actually wearing a Multicam slip on and although not obvious in the screenshot it does appear to read "CSOR".

The hi vis titles and rank are brand new; just started issuing them in the last year or so. As far as I understand, there is a second gen cadpat in prep or trials and the multi-cam is not a Cdn pattern.
