Unknown badge on brown beret
Please see the attached photo of a recent acquisition that has eluded identification.
Grateful for any explanation of who, what, where, when. Beret badge is a gilded shield with a top title"BATALLON GERMANIA", which, I'm guessing has nothing to do with an actual German SS unit of the same name which has overloaded my search engine. Underneath the title is "U.E.A.E." which has also evaded I.D. which is over a stylised eagle standing on a tower. The beret is a mucky brown, maker marked "KANGOL" in white paint, no liner. Ian H |
