Bedfordshire Rifles

Afternoon All,
I've had this a while now, Bedfordshire Rifles and possibly a cross belt plate? I'm not sure as I've never seen another & hope some of our Bedford experts may be able to help. It's 90mm x 58mm, no fixings present to the rear, shown alongside a Herts Yeo collar for scale too. Any help or thoughts welcome,

Wow, that’s nice, very nice. There are some similar plate to other units

Ist Bedfordshire Rifle Volunteer Corps. 1880 to 1887. Became the 3rd Volunteer battalion The Bedfordshire Regiment.

This is the Helmet plate. I would think yours is the glengarry badge. Is there any sign of fittings ?
