World War II Seaforths formation sign?
What sign/flash did Seaforth Highlanders battalion wear on battledress during World War II? I know the Black Watch had the black diamond sign, but I don't know about the other Highland regiments.
Was the Seaforths' a piece of regimental tartan similar to the kind worn behind the regimental badge on the tam or was it something else? |

They wore an oblong flash of MacKenzie tartan, 3" wide by 1 1/4" deep. 5th Battalion wore a patch of Black Watch tartan, 2 1/2" wide by 2 3/4" high.
