it looks fine to me, there is also a woven version, both types worn in WWII, John

I would suggest WW2 or even possibly WW1? Nice flash anyway.

Have attached a couple of photos of insignia worn in the 1990's for comparison. The Hodden Grey one was worn on the C95 shirt, brassard and jersey, the smaller green one on the helmet and the large green one on the smock.

Hi Loupie - my thoughts on this one are that it is sadly a fake. I've got a few of these in a few different colours, but general consensus is that it is dodgy. Will try to post some pics of wartime ones soon.

Backs: top left is wartime paper-backed. Next to it is a woven variant. Below them is a wartime or just post-war cloth-backed.

On the left are a post-war embroidered (50's or 60's??) and then two variants of the printed badge, one on a tan twill (I think is fake), and one on a green twill (definitely a fake).
