5th battalion Seaforth Highlanders
P4180007.jpg
P4180008.jpg P4180009.jpg This one is the one i hold out the least hope, die faults, cast, so hoping its been locally made in India etc and i don't mean last week. The only thing that gave me hope were the lugs. Thanks Chris |

As with all ‘theatre’ made badges I’d want some evidence the battalion was there or provenance.
It is cast from a genuine badge, beyond that I’d not like to say. Personally not one I’d buy. |

That pattern was in use 1921-1946, first by the 4th/5th Battalion from 1921 to 1939 and then by the 5th Battalion from 1939 to 1946. The 5th served in Egypt in WW2 so possibly made there.

Thanks hoot.
It is one I am going to keep hold of. Admittedly in a dark draw. Appreciate your taking time to comment Chris |
