Oman again

Can anyone tell me why there are so many variations of the same cap badge.?
Also what is the badge at the bottom?

These badges changed slightly over the years, normally it was Silver for Officers and brass for Other Ranks. The older variant is top right as viewing the picture, the belt in the centre I believe was added around 1976.

The badge at the bottom is for the Royal Stables. (One I am still missing)

Hello Mark

Thankyou for your response & info, the one you mention from a belt does have nut & bolt type fixings rather rather than the lugs what the others have, so that would make sense.

Did you see my other 3 posts requesting assistance with Oman badges?
