There are numerous variations of this sign -printed, embroidered and woven, King's crown and Queen's crown, some with a darker almost black ground.
To be correct the lion should face the direction shown by the badge but there are many examples of it facing the other way - as in the photo - so they could be worn as facing pairs. It took the powers that be a long time to notice the error. Jon |

These chrome plated collar badges are a facing pair and are presumably also heraldically incorrect?
