RM tunic-what period?
Hi Guys,
I need some help from the uniform experts please. Have a look at the pictures and see what you think. There are some interesting features on this uniform. Regards Irv |

I would suggest inter war period by construction and materials only

Cheers,
As it only has the two top pockets I thought 20’s. The flaps aren’t scalloped and have no pleats. No bottom patch pockets, only inside pockets. Not sure when they went over to four pocket? I have a one breast pocket (same construction) which has two bottom patch pockets, (not inside). That is dated ww1. Also the bottom of the sleeves don’t have the extra shevron? Regards Irv |

Hi Irv, no knowledge of Her Majesties Jollies, especially their uniforms, however the brass 'RM' title is decidedly WW1 for me. Regards Mark

Hi Mark,
The RM is post 1923 as that is when they amalgamated. Pre 1923 it would have RMLI or RMA shoulder titles and buttons. Regards Irv |

Getting these pictures up the right way is a pain!
But the point was that this was a Marine and has the scalloped pocket. |
