Default 1st Bn Monmouthshire Regt?

Can anyone identify this badge from the poor photo please? Closest I can get is 1st Bn Mon Rgt.
His name is Daniel Webster bn. 26/10/1914

Definitely 1st Mons. Eddie on this forum may be able to tie down the exact inter war period for you due to the coloured badge backing.

HI Chaps
the pic i would say is late WWII as hes wearing a side hat and bd jacket being in coulor it has to be late WWII as coulor was rare during the early years of WWII steve
