Medals, badges and ephemera relating to my Grandfather who enlisted in 1906. A Londoner from the Euston Road / St Pancras area and born in 1888 I do not know why he was in a Welsh Regiment but he served with 1 SWB in Hyderabad, Quetta, Chatham and Bordon prior to WW1. Landed in France 13 August 1914 when 1 SWB were in 3 Infantry Brigade of the 1st Division of the BEF. He was wounded in November 1914 and again in December 1917 and spent the latter part of the war with 3 SWB training recruits at Sniggery Woods Camp, Hightown near Liverpool.
