Default 7th Meerut Indian Division

i've been trying to find the WW1 divisional patch for the 7th (Meerut) Indian Division, assuming they had one, with no success I have relatives who served in the 1st and 4th Seaforths so would they have worn this patch whilst in the Middle East?

I don't claim to be an expert on WWI cloth badges but by and large divisional signs were mainly confined to formations serving on the Western Front in France and Belgium so I think it unlikely that the Division you are asking about wore one.

Happy to be proved wrong though.

Thanks for reply and I agree with your view. My only doubt is that the 7th came from the Western Front so I thought there was a chance that they they took a formation badge with them, but I have seen nothing to support this.

Thanks
