BULLION SHOOTING BADGES
Hi
Hopefully someone on here can tell me more about these badges. I know they are shooting badges from the Southern Rhodesia Volunteers for early 1900's. Like to find out more about exactly how and for what they were awarded for and if anyone knows if there would be any records from that period. Thanks Don |

SOUTHERN RHODESIA VOLUNTEERS
Hi All
Just pushing up and still looking for info on these bullion shooting awards. Also looking for info on the Southern Rhodesia Volunteers from the late 1890's to 1910. Seeking info on Trooper/Corporal J. Main ( James I believe) who was with the SRV in this time period. Thanks Don |

Hi
Figured I would bump up one more time in the hopes someone knowledgeable about Southern Rhodesia of that period would spot and be able to help. Thanks Don |

Hi
Yes, very nice quality. I didn't post because I have no info but nice quality shooting badges like this are quite common in SA though these are the first SR ones I've seen. Shooting comps were extremely popular back then. Cheers, Alex |

BULLION SHOOTING BADGES
Thanks for the comments guys. I have been looking and it seems any Southern Rhodesia Volunteers items are scarce. Not my area of collecting but such nice old badges were hard to pass up. I'd like to get a roll for the SRV from the 1900-1914 period. If anyone knows where one might be found I would appreciate it.
Thanks Don |

Hi Don,
Lovely badges, unfortunately the nature, a 'volunteer' meeting is unlikely to have records outside Africa, however of note is the NRA of the UK who may have records, just because of the Volunteer nature, also the papers of the time were quite happy to put results in print. Good Luck - Regards Mark |
