Not a very well written article (in my opinion), but a good, rare image of members of the RGH soon after VE Day I think. Mike

His NW Europe service was in the 24th Lancers and 23rd Hussars, so would the photo be post VE Day if he's wearing RGH insignia?

That is correct - he served with the RGH from 14.10.45, until the 16.09.46.
