Default No.6 Field Ambulance RCAMC Flash

Can anyone clue me in on the shoulder flash named: No.6 FIELD AMBULANCE/R.C.A.M.C.? Yellow on a maroon field. What time period is it? I am guessing there are no other flashes to RCAMC ambulance units.

That flash was acquired by the 6th Fd without being authorized. It is documented to early in the Second WW. NDHQ had decided that there would not be titles for sub-units of corps, and that all corps units would wear the same title. Eg, ROYAL CANADIAN / ARMY MEDICAL CORPS. So, these titles were redundant. I have never seen evidence of them in wear, and all the examples I have seen were in un-used condition. (More in Fabric of War).

Just to kick this up a bit.
No.6 Field Ambulance was based in Valcartier Qc. and was a french-speaking unit.It was part of the 21st Infantry Brigade.
