Cap badge identification required
Hi all. Brand new here and hoping you can assist in identifying the cap badge worn by the lady in the attached picture.
I was wondering if it is Royal Engineers. It could be non-military as she was a chauffeur in Wales in 1918 (pictured is dated 1818) and someone thought it perhaps could be RAC. Hopefully someone can perhaps provide a definitive answer. Many thanks in advance. |

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I believe you are right as it looks like a Royal Engineers cap badge to me. Paul |

She is probably dressed up in boyfriend's or husband's uniform. She would not be enlisted in the RE.

I would agree will all comments posted, would like to add the Royal Armoured Corps was created circa 1939, so no match with date on photo.
Cheers Tony.

I agree with Alan. Peter Doyle & Chris Foster's book on WW1 badges shows a photo of women dressed in their boyfriends'/husbands' uniforms.
