Default An interesting SAS wing

Added to my collection recently. I purchased this wing from a retired U.S Army Colonel. The chute and lines are done in a metallic thread. He thought it dated from WW2 era but not completely sure.

The backing is a silky ribbed material and was difficult to get a clean photo of. Not padded and measures approx 2 3/4". Has been removed from a uniform. All comments welcome
Thanks
Jack
