Apparently you've no need to be fit anymore. As the Army have binned the BFT, ICFT and CFT. Saying they're out dated.

So the result of this campaign is that serving soldiers are melting away.........
I remember the old days when they used to fade away, old school wastage style.

It all reminds me of "It Ain't Half Hot Mum". BSM Williams shouting at his men, "You is a load of poofs!!". Imagine that happening these days. The stress counselling alone would cost a fortune. Ah Diddums.

There was a mention, on BBC news yesterday, that one fifth of the British Army could not be deployed overseas because of medical issues!

Do they all have notes from their mums asking that little Johnny be excused PT and war?
I know, I'm being flippant and unfair. I won't have to cart a rifle and bayonet around for little pay again, some other poor so & so's got to do it while the folks back home complain that what they're doing is wrong.
It seems an amazingly large proportion of an army to be unfit for duty, the Americans have similar issues though I can't remember the % of their military who were reported last year as being unfit to fight

A series of "Too Fat To Fight" reports in recent years highlighted that a third of American youth was too fat to join the military, last year it was claimed that 71% of American youth aged between 17-24 couldn't meet the minimum criteria to serve.

It would be interesting to compare the amount of service personnel of different nations who aren't "fit to fight".

Default British Army Recruiting Campaign 2019

I wonder how the "Snowflakes" will react when they meet the RSM and Drill Sergeant? Or perhaps shouting is no longer allowed?

RM seem a bit closer to providing a recruiting incentive although there's no mention of helping to feed hungry people, thwarting drug runners, all that kind of stuff the military are portrayed as being for rather than for fighting bad guys and stuff.

I like that KSLI one.
A Lancashire Fusiliers one, I'm thinking from around the late 40's -50's.
"The Modern Streamlined Army" - there was plenty of streamlining to come too.
