A badge of this design was worn by the 4th (Perthshire) V.B. Black Watch and also Glenalmond OTC.

The 4th VB Black Watch wore this badge in white metal and I believe the same metal was used for Glenalmond College.

I agree with with Luke, the badge you show is a dud, more so if it is a non white metal example.

In my opinion still from a fake die unfortunately. Immediate tells for me are the beak shape and the seeding as seen on the common fake which is found in both w/m and brass. Example attached.
