Default Printed rank badges

Hi All,

I've just picked up this pair of printed corporal stripes, can anyone tell me if these are real issue ones or repro.

Thanks a lot,

Michael

Thanks Simon,

That sounds good to me.

I'm assuming they are made for the re-enactment market but had no reason to think that's what these are. If they match ones you have I'll assume they are the real deal.

Thanks for the help.

Michael

Printed badges were printed oversized so that the excess could be folded back before stitching to uniform to prevent fraying of edges.

These chevrons look like they have been cut back to the fold lines which you can just see.

Was this common with printed chevrons before issue?

Renactors would not want to wear such things as just like during the war they they are unpopular due to their appearance. Hence very little reason to repro.
