Interesting badge Sean. Is it still in use by the Royal Welsh ?
The Warwicks goat handler wore a collar badge on the forearm as a "trade" badge.

RRF handlers wore a R Warks collar badge, I think only on the left forearm, with the antelope badge facing to the rear (presumably they only had examples of that half of the pairs available)
"The Regiment" has a photo of a pair of handlers who are either 3RRF or 1RRF in Gibraltar late 60's - early 70's (the 3rd Bn handed over to the 1st Bn), showing the badge in wear.
(I don't remember seeing the badge in wear in any order of dress in the 1st Bn during the 70's).

Default goatmajors badge rrw

I contacted the goat major in 1992 about the badge and he replied saying it had been given to him by a German soldier while doing a parade in Frieberg.
