Default Quick Middlesex Quiz

A early teatime teaser for the forum.

Can the savvy eyed out there spot why I think this Middlesex Regiment badge is a little bit special?

All I’ll give away for now is to confirm that it is looped E-W.

VB or other designations (despite "Albuhera" scroll) removed from tails of scroll, either from badge or die??
Is it blackened?

Leigh is the warmest so far.

No it’s not blackened, but on the right hand side someone has put on what looks and feels like a mat humbrol paint.

What's going on with those tails, Initials, hallmarks?
Badge off a tin lid?
