Unknown army patch 84

Please can some one tell me what this is for and a sensible value as I don't collect cloth so want to move it on.

Apparently it's the insignia of the South African 84 Technical Stores Depot - I found a brief overview about them on this page here. I've no idea what a reasonable price for it would be but it's for sale at $40 on the first link and a similar patch is for sale here at 300 South African Rand.
