Default Does anyone recognise this ring symbol?

Bought this ring online, hallmarked Toye Kenning and Spencer. I know they did military stuff so wondered if anyone recognised the symbol?

Default Ring

Not familiar with this, is there any markings in the pattern on the side?.
I would guess at a civilian organisation, the four prongs holding the badge in is unusual.
