No.
In WW1 I think one of the Auxiliary Force units was attached to the British Machine Gun Corps. Don't recall whic one.
In WW2 some regiments like the Dogras had machine gun battalions attached. I've seen medals named as such.
No specific MG badges as far as I know. A made-up Jodhpur Lancers Machine Gun BTN shoulder title occassionally surfaces...

thanks Khyber
i have seen the Jodhpur Lancers Machine Gun BTN shoulder title and know it as a make believe item
just wondered if there were any others that may be genuine.
interesting how the British army had MGBs and so did NZ and had their own badges. Australia had a few but really only the rising sun.
anyway, thanks for the info

Hi BC,

In WW1 Indian cavalry units on the western front formed MG Sqns but continued to wear the badge of their parent unit. Post 1922 there were MG Companies of the Auxiliary Force India which wore a shoulder title MGC with A (examples exist with it situated both above and below). The AFI detachment in East Africa wore a shoulder title : Volunteer Maching Gun Company. The Coorg & Mysore MG Coy AFI had a special embroidered badge. The Bikaner State Forces also had a special MG Coy badge. During WW2 the badge of the newly raised Mahar MG Regt featured crossed machine guns. While Indian infantry regts raised MG Bns the only one to have a distinctive badge was that of the 12th Frontier Force Regt which wore a shoulder title with MG above a curved FF REGT.

I had one of these years ago and [stupidly] got rid of it. Now idea at this distance whether it was real or fake, but here's an example anyway.
