No mate - NSW Volunteers officer badge. Probably just after federation (as it has AUSTRALIA on it) so circa 1901-1902 or so. This one sold on ebay recently for $800 odd.

The Royal NSW Regiment was formed in 1960.

not mine
i bid on it with no idea what it is.
QV crown, in the style of the NSW standard officers bullion badge but, have never seen the australia at the bottom
the new owner has a ripper of an item and from what i can tell never been identified before. that makes it even more interesting
