Officers bronze collar badges joined to make a bar brooch.
Were bronze collars ever issued to the 5th? if so when? Ron. ![]() ![]() |

Hi Ron, I checked Brooker's early work "The Standard Catalogue of Canadian Army Badges 1855 to Date - Book 3" and it does not show a bronze collar of your type. Chris shows a bullion officers collar of similar design or a metal collar with NE OBLIVISCARIS banner circa 1906. This is the only source I have but there are several other members who collect this regiment and perhaps they can be of further help.

A fellow collector has suggested they may be Lorne Scots, can anyone confirm?

I have this unusual version of this badge which is cast iron and chromed.
Does anyone know anything about it. I have owned it since 1972, and I have no doubt about its authenticity. It seems unique. |

It is Canadian, 5th Bn Royal Scots of Canada. I am sure members in the Canadian section will give you an opinion on it and be able to tell you more.
