Default 1st WW quality

Sadly my camera cannot really do justice to the quality of this Y&L brooch.Dates to the 1st world war

Thanks for your comments on the brooch.its engraved on the top of the brooch bar "a memory of the 13th of July 1915".I suppose it could have been made into the 1920s looking back on the past.its the frustrating thing about collecting these is trying to date them.if any forum members have not visited "the armoury of st James"website its well worth viewing the military jewellery they sell,some out & out stunning examples. Hi Gary,

A real quality piece! Even back in the day there were grades of quality but this is up with the best.

Looks like diamond set? If you can, get it tested but I would think that it won't disappoint.
