Default Poppy pins 2006 to 2018

I have a collection of metal poppy pins with each having the year from 2006-2018 ascribed on them. I am looking to sell the collection on and was wondering if anyone had an idea of its full value together?

G'day Windy

As your name suggests this is a windy way to approach this matter.

Firstly how many badges in the collection, do you know what the various face values are? and how about some photos so people will know what you are offering. Here in Aussie Poppy badges sell from $2.00 to over $20.00 each. And yes there are people who collect them.

Regards

Phil.

Hello Windy, welcome to the forum. I am a collector of Poppy pins etc and have a question or two...
Are they smaller pins or the slightly larger one's?
Does the leaf point to 1 o'clock or 3 o'clock?
Are they from the WW1 set with the dates 1914-2014 etc?
As said in a previous thread Photo's would help.
Jerry

Dated Poppy Pins before 2012 were sold via the 'Poppy Shop' and were in smaller production batches and while I have seen some silly prices on e-bay I value them in the £30 to £40 price range (a little more for the 2006 pin) Pins from 2012 only around the £6 to £8 range with the 1914-2014 dated pins to 1918-2018 as low as £2 to £3 each

You can pick up a set 2012 - 2018 (7 pins) for about £20 , the 2011 and 2011 90th Anniversary ones are going for £2 - £3 each.

As has been pointed out , some of the numbers on eBay are just ridiculous , a dealer is asking £35 for a 2012 pin !

I am a RBL PAO and have stocks of all dated pins from 2012 (I do get the odd older pin) onwards @ £2 each and commemorative sets as well. I sell a few every year to collectors with all profits going to the Poppy Appeal

I also have Poppy Appeal display cards for 5 pins - and sell a 2014 to 2018 carded set for £10

I am waiting to see the design for the 2019 official pin and I think a 75th anniversary D-Day Pin.

I already have the new 2019 Rugby Pins on black metal with the black pin from the 2016 (on gold metal) onwards set withdrawn and new Red & Green pins issued @ £2

Any order of up to 10 pins is £2 P&P

I am looking for a single 2008 pin to complete my collection, but will not pay silly prices.

I have managed to get 4 of the rugby pins , red , green , blue and black but need the white one . Have also got a couple of older ones , do you know when these were issued and if they were part of a set ?

There are 3 Rugby sets issued via the Poppy Appeal

1911 2 pin set as shown above withdrawn in 2014 due to copyright issues with Gilbert

replaced in 2014 by 3 pin set in White, Black & Blue on Gold base metal

replaced in late 2018 by 4 pin set in White, Blue, Red & Green for 2019 6 Nations & World Cup on Black base metal

The 2 above sets can distinctly different when viewed from the front

The silver base metal white pin you show is not an RBL issue

Thanks for the info , the "set" I have put together is a mix and match bunch.

Black - Gold base metal.

Red , Green , Blue - Black base metal.

White - Silver base metal ( didn't really think it was RBL but wanted to check).

Picked up the 2 Gilbert ones separately.
