Default Tank Within Wreath Beret Badge (Shown in Vietnam War Documentary).

Watching a documentary series "The Vietnam War" (episode 3 The River Styx (January 1964-December 1965)) I saw footage of a soldier standing with General Westmoreland.
What's the badge on his beret please? It appears to be embroidered rather than of metal and may be on a coloured backing, I can't tell. It may be embroidered on to a cloth backing that matches the beret colour and is just cut irregularly to cater for the projecting gun barrel.
