Default Spot the RaKMF jundi

Gentlemen,

Two photos of a RaKMF jundi in the company of the TOS patrol. See if you can spot him. TOS.jpg

3rd from back on the right with his SLR at 2 o'clock, wearing a 'grey' shemagh?

Graham,

Good eye, you got it! But the shemagh is GREEN and WHITE!

This is so frustrating. I've known for some time the shemagh was green and white but how I wish for a good clear colour photo. There are so many shades of green.

I have this one, but David Neild says it is not RAKMF.

Default RAK Police headdress badge

Good evening

Having bought David Neild’s autobiography some time ago I recently bought “The Parting Years: A British Family and the End of Empire” by Sheila Bevan, widow of the late Trevor Bevan who served as a policeman in various parts of the dwindling Empire, and is shown in David Neild's book whilst Chief of the Ras al Khaimah Police. I thought this passage describing the headdress badge might be of particular interest.

All the best

Graham
