Jon,
A search on Ancestry on RAF369 or RAF 369 produces nothing . A search on 369 produces : C. F. Stanley 369 Royal West Surrey 2nd Bn. L/5674 Hope this is of some help. Peter

Peter,
Many thanks. I came up with that and assumed as it was something outside my comfort zone I'd ask an SWB expert. Perhaps unusual? Thanks anyway Jon |

As far as I am aware RAF SWB rolls are not online.

That's correct.
I've been trawling through RAF records on Find My Past as I have a few RAF badges, been trying to make a list. The badge number isn't always noted and I started to lose interest after checking over 1500 records because of a slow internet connection. Unfortunately RAF369 isn't one of the issue numbers that have cropped up so far. Jon, I think your post might help me get my bum back in gear and start searching again. Tony |

RAF 369
I am afraid that you will not be able to identify Silver War Badge number RAF369 as it was in a bunch numbered 201 - 450 that were issued to Officers, WRAF and Civilians and is therefore not traceable. It is only possible ( with lots of research ) to identify badges issued to men and not those issued to Officers, WRAF, Civilians or indeed to Canadians.
There are several batches of these numbers that can't be identified. 201 - 450 which were Mixed (Officer, WRAF & Civilian ) 1701 - 2200 - Canadian Issue 3001 - 3100 - Mixed 4101 - 4300 - Canadian Issue 8301 - 8500 - Mixed Steve Last edited by hmsk212; 11-08-16 at 08:46 AM. |

Hi,
Sorry I have not been on the site for years. In answer to your question Silver War Badge number RAF 9085 was awarded to 3AM 278634 James Andrew Gordon Scott who fractured his arm in January 1919. Steve |
