Default Two Yeomanry badges

Hi all,
Any comments about these two. I hope they are good but the Leics Yeo always troubles me.
Cheers,
John

The LY is sadly fake but the Derbyshire Yeo is genuine.

Is the DY in white metal?

Pretty much everything.

Look at the difference in quality of the features on the badge v’s Griff’s genuine WM example.

Main points that grab the eyes are the uber wonky jewels in the crown and that it has dot seeding within the LY rather than nice horizontal lines. The more you look the more differences you will see! This holds true for the LIY badge also.

So, no real need to add that the metal and strike are all wrong too.

I can confirm everything Luke has said regarding the LY. I spent some time to studying this badge before purchase to avoid a mistake, which I highly recommend as it is heavily faked.

Luke & CB
Just checked mine - an absolute flurry of dot-seeding (a new term I've learnt, thanks yet again Luke) - oh well, another hole to fill......I've got more holes to fill than Bernard Cribbins ever had !! Thanks for your knowledge guys (and your patience!) G

....so you can see the obvious differences. There are a couple of other fakes that will catch people out as well. The real white metal only had x2 loops E/W, no slider version was ever issued. This badge only existed from the 1911 Coronation to 1915.
