I am not sure there is some misunderstanding here. I referred to post #26 (and the range of badges shown there), not about your image #26.

Sorry to use he number 26 in a confusing way.

Hi Mike

Thanks for the link on air raid badge. That looks pretty conclusive. Though Steve was absolutely right in spotting it as being an air raid award of some kind.

Regards
Bill

Oops, if I'd noticed mojob123 earlier identification I wouldn't have muddied the waters with my vague ramblings...

Thank you, that was bugging me. I knew I had seen it somewhere.

Bill,
Not sure if you already found out what this is. This is in fact part of a 1948 Soviet airbornebadge. It needs a background like on these pictures. Not sure anymore what the colours mean, have it somewhere. If I find that info, I'll let you know.
Best wishes,
Alain

Hello Alain,

Thank you very much for your information on the unidentified silver para wings.
I hadn't been able to identify it and had admitted defeat on that one to be honest.I presume it is incomplete without the cloth backing unless I find it somewhere. Nice one to solve though.

Many thanks again
Bill
