Default London badge for ID

Hi All
Can anyone ID this badge please? It looks like the fitting for a belt plate.
Thanks, cheers,
Alex

My stab is Royal London Militia, maybe.

Simon High Wood may be able to put us out of our misery though, Rob, if his photo evidence shows the unit it belongs to.

The motto is the City of London motto so it could be to anything. Not necessarily military.

I think it's a belt buckle centre, although possibly not military.

This was the photographic evidence of the insignia being worn, in this case as a helmet plate. My example is probably from a belt buckle rather than a helmet plate. I lifted the photograph from the web and cannot now remember the source. It was described as "London Volunteers".
