Default Middle East Force GHQ?

Hi could someone please help in identifying this badge. Is it a version of the MEF GHQ badge that was never worn and was as I understand just a vehicle marking?
Also attached are the three MEF badges already in my collection.

John Waring listed in his "Identification Pamphlet No. 1" a formation sign listed as 393: HQ Middle East Land Forces, 1st pattern - Brown camel on yellow rectangle with narrow brown inner border. printed. Comment. This pattern said to be dated from late 1947, prior to the introduction of the camel on red/blue background.

Hi Mike ...thanks for you response it's much appreciated. Forgive me but now I'm even more confused! The description given by John Waring sounds like the 4th Battalion Cornish home guard badge below? Do you have any suggestions as to what the badge I have might be?
Many Thanks

From IWM :

Quote:
Physical description
badge A shield divided evenly horizontally red over mid blue on which a camel in yellow, a yellow outer border overall.

History note
This is the first pattern of badge for this Command, adopted in the latter part of 1947. The badge derives from the WW2 vehicle sign for GHQ MEF, a brown or gold camel on a black square. During the war GHQ MEF personnel did not wear a distinguishing badge on uniform.

Why a camel !

Quote:
Each local battalion had its own shoulder flash depicting an emblem symbolising some old Cornish tradition, a Cornish family, or geographical connection to the area their battalion covered. These ‘arm flashes’ were sew-on badges – including a Camel for Wadebridge, a Lizard for Helston, the Killigrew family crest (a double headed eagle) for Falmouth, a chough for Newquay (this was their nickname).
An explanation :

Quote:
The initial settlement of Wade (the name of Wadebridge before the bridge was built) came about due to a ford in the River Camel (Camel probably meaning "crooked one").
