Unknown badge - detector find in Canada

A fellow detectorist in Canada has come up with a "stumper" for us out here in the Colonies.

It appears to have fusilier flames with a lion/leopard (?) paw and has 3 lugs on the back.

It was found in the New Brunswick area, and may be British or French or ??

Any help with ID much appreciated !

Something like that seems likely. Almost certainly not a military badge.
