Default OT Trusted Campaign Medal Dealer?

Well Gents,

Never thought it would happen but I stumbled into a "Honey Hole" of cap badges and militaria. (4 fruit boxes full at a garage sale) Two boxes in hand, I pick up the other two on Monday.

Amidst all of the junk, was a number of Queens South Africa Medals, Kings South Africa Medal, Khedives Sudan, and others. (all named, most with multiple clasps) What dealer would be your choice for a fair transaction?

I am aware these this are also faked, so I will be preparing Photos of Rivets, naming and condition.

As I inventory all of the badges, I will post to see if they are genuine, and appreciate your comments.

Regards,

Philip

John Collins sells medals on commission so in both his and the owners interest to get the best possible price:

Sounds interesting and an unusual find. Looking forward to seeing them - is the material Canadian or British?

"QSA Mike" on here should be able to give you some pointers on any Boer War material I'm sure.

Mostly Scottish Regiments of UK and Canada. Also some Belgian medals I believe. (I will have to post a photo here for guidance.)

PM sent

I would also recommend the "2012 Medal Yearbook" as a good general idea of medal values, I just got it and its invaluable.

I would recommend contacting http://www.northeastmedals.co.uk/ if you are in the UK.

A great pickup... it gives the rest of us hope that something of this magnitude will show up one day for ourselves. I can't complain to much though as I thought I had 3 terrific scores in the last year... a WW1 tunic and field cap... a bunch of ww1 webbing.... and a DCM group with related material to a Canadian.... you just have to keep looking

I am actually in Northern California. Don't mind dealing internationally as long as I am treated fairly.

Philip, If you post some images of the badges here, I am sure you will get some good information.

That is the plan...

The only badges I trust are the ones my Granfather had on his hate belt....
