This is an Oldie Mr.Ron Now taking into consideration the Name changes.
If this was 5th Royal Scots it would say Scots instead of Highlander. RHC Linage Chart 5th Regiment, “Royal Scots of Canada, Highlanders” 2 May 1904 Reorganized into two battalions 1 August 1906 | | Redesignated: 5th Regiment, “Royal Highlanders of Canada” 1 October 1906 (Approved by Sovereign 3 January 1910) Reorganized and redesignated: “The Royal Highlanders of Canada” Perpetuating 13th, 42nd and 73rd Battalions, CEF 29 March 1920 Therefore this Sweetheart pin is from 1906-1915 around?? It's a shame the pin broke, whoever the detail on the Button brooch is in great condetion for It's Age. Last edited by Recce; 24-09-10 at 07:43 PM. |

I believe this to be a Great War or 1920, Men's lapel or sweetheart?
Look at the Pin it's flat and rounded like half moon, and the point surpasses the locking mechanism by alot, Sterling Silver. The Pine looks like a Boer War British 1895 Socket Bayonet, Lol. |
