Default Church Lads and enamel Trading Corps Lapel badge

Probably not too uncommon a photograph. I think it may date to just prior to cadet status? There are some lads with diamond badges either side of the cap badge, and a few with one diamond on the cap band. Anyone know what the diamonds denote.
The lapel badge, judging by the hinge and wider 'C' type clasp, probably dates to C1930's, so post cadet period.
Comments and information welcome.

Could they be something similar to the 'Boys' Brigade one year efficiency service badge' ?

Boys Brigade one year efficiency service diamond badge 1904 to 1926

Interesting texture to the back of that badge and one that I've not seen on many badges. Some British badges from WW2 have this and many later period Australian badges.

An article about the history of the CLB :

https://www.clcgb.org.uk/index.php/d...king-back/file

Have also seen an example of the enamel badge with a button hole fitting , so possibly an "Old Comrades Association" item.

Younger members accepted into experimental CLB 'Juvenile Cadet' units.
The Old Comrades Asssociation started for ex-members which lasted until 1938 in the U.K.

Default CLB

CLB companies could apply to be recognised as Cadet Corps from 1911. In khaki, they wore a small oval CLB cap badge from c.1913 to 1917. In 1917 (until 1930), the CLB was affiliated to the KRRC and wore a blackened KRRC CLB Cadet badge.

The CLB Training Corps was started in 1912. It was renamed Junior Training Corps in 1935/36 during a reorganisation which included the abolition of cadet status.

I have collected CLB badges and postcards for many years and have never seen anything like the badges on the caps.

I accept what you say about it being confusing. Regarding the dates, there is always discussion as to which date is correct. This often arises from someone using the Annual Report as a source and they, of course, are one year behind.
