Welsh Fusiliers collar

Hi All,

I believe this is a Welsh Fusiliers collar badge but it has pins, is this now normal for British badges?

Clutch pin fittings have been around for a long time. However, the intoduction of Future Army Dress (FAD) from around 2011, now all ranks No2 Dress, has resulted in most current collar badges being issued in 'new metals' with clutch pin fittings to reduce tailoring costs and damage to uniforms. Collar badges, particularly for the Corps, are still being issued in anodised aluminium but with clutch pins.

Yours is a Royal Welsh current issue in 'new metals'.

SA badges have had pin fittings from perhaps the 60s but it's the first British one I've seen although of course not so common out here.
