KOSB Badge with Slider

Got this one today. It has obviously had a bad repair job to the slider. I can not see anywhere there has been lugs attached in the usual place. Would there have been a variation of this badge with a slider, possibly for a pagri or beret? The badge looks good to me and a good strike.

As always your opinions are greatly welcomed.
