May I suggest a manual for the new forum in PDF format.
It informs the members of the new location of each item in the old forum. Members can save or print it.

Then collect all complaints and remarks.

e.g. it took me some time to find the login button.
Its bar was white, and so is my browser's top section.
If the bar would have been green I would have recognised it as part of the forum page.

After a month or so we transfer to the new forum.
A PDF manual is good in theory but it is helluva lot of work for someone to do. A very time consuming exercise.

The forum needs to be upgraded as like all things IT, software has only a limited useful life and if you don’t upgrade all sorts of issues can occur.

I was quite surprised that Mike decided to rollback to the old version.

Whilst I had initial issues with the new forum on my iPhone I was quickly able to adopt to the new version.

I don't use Tw#tter, nor Facetube, Youbook or any of the other (anti) social media "toys".......

This is my social media and a heck of a lot more useful, may I say.

The Forum has put me in touch with some really great people (you know who you are...) with whom I share a common passion and I was more than a little unnerved to think that I was going to have to relearn something else....

OK, you do it but it takes a while.
Twitter, FB and YouTube have no similarities with the vBulletin style used in the new format.
It's amusing that some people are willing to learn info about what they collect but aren't interested in learning about a format that is more secure.
