Made a nice catch at the Regina gunshow from Jamie and Wayne of Marway Miliatria out of Winnipeg. Always a pleasure to deal with... Thanks

I thought this was a fantasy piece, I thought there is no official cap badge to Canada's JTF2. Members wear the sand beret but the capbadge of their home units or Corps.

Mike.... I think you are partially right on this... while active with JTF2 they wear their home unit badge but are awarded this badge when they are no longer with the unit. It was also explained to me by an independent source that they also have a Presidential Unit Citation badge that is worn on the sleeve. I believe the badge is legit but am aways open to comments by the Forum.

I will give you $100.00 if you walk up to him and grab his beret.
I remember some scary looking WO's and RSM's when I was in the CF, but he takes first prize. I dont think too many look him in the eye when passing him on the street. |

He was my CSM (company sergeant major) when I was in 3PPCLI. He is actually a very decent person and not very tall so looking him in the eye is not a problem... LOL. I saw him wearing that badge on several occasions and he explained that it is the assaulter qualification badge (door kicker course).

I know Canadians and Germans are invited to the Ranger school but I have never heard of any British soldiers attending, has anyone ever heard of the UK sending troops?
On another note about foreign troops training I spent December in SA Asia and Singapore and was surprised to learn the Singapore air force has spent the last year training and living in Idaho with their families. |

Hi,
I know of two from the Royal Green Jackets who wore the Ranger tab. Late 1960s early 1970s period. Regards Danny |

I have never seen that particular metal badge before. The is a shoulder patch with dagger point down, but is incredibly rare. Commando knife thru a buffalo head.
Think every single SSF, RRF or otherwise Army who had the misfortune to have that burned it. Mounties probably still wacking off on theirs. |
