No idea, when I get a reply to my last I will ask.
On another similar badge subject; Would anyone have a good image of the breast badge worn by the RCA RSM? Marc Last edited by 54Bty; 27-07-16 at 11:41 AM. |

An article that discusses the types of crowns represented on buttons (and badges). http://www.ottawavalleybuttonclub.ca...p-England.aspx
A good explanation of the evolution of the soverigns' crowns. I think the information passed to me was in the same vein. The St Edward's coronation crown was the crown of the monarchs to be used on the badges. It appears there has been considerable artistic licence in the "new" standard Canadian St Edward's crown.

The new badges have been on sale and worn for the last year, the new berets are going to be 'Royal Blue', again it is what I have been told, although I doubt it is 'Royal Blue'.

Has the Cap badge only ever been worn by IGs and AIGs?
Or are there Other Ranks versions? Which RCA Units wear the Maroon and Tan berets? Marc |

The first image is of the small NCMs beret badge.
The last 2 images , the subdued badge is for IG, AIG forage caps, and the bright gilt for the band. Any gunner posted to any of the Canadian Special Ops units in any capacity will wear the tan beret. I am not sure if there is a dedicated airborne unit for the guns anymore. |
