Default Good or bad - Nelson ND

Hi all,

Unfortunately I don't have better photos then the below but any chance there is possible to determine is it a good or bad badge? Gaunt maker tag on the back. N-S lugs.

Hi, it has the characteristics I'd look for in an original badge, but without clearer photos its difficult to give a better opinion, regards

Paul

Personally I’d beg to differ.

The badge is not from the Gaunt die so the plaque is either fake (which I suspect from what I can see of the shape/size) or did not originally start out life on that badge.

See Paddy’s example in his excellent RND album and note the oblique ‘N’ versus your straight one, plus the numerous other differences.

Whilst your badge is not from either of the usually encountered fake dies I would not buy it.

It also differs from the makers variation featured in Gaylor.
