Hi all,
I am going to post these images, walk round Regent's Park and then see what the concensus is. Heavy 3-piece, die cast construction with brazing holes and long lugs. Cheers Dean Last edited by mooke07; 09-09-16 at 03:31 PM. |

Looks OK to me Dean. Do you have a particular concern?

Is it silver as it not an OR's badge.

Thanks. I was just not game to say Officer's unmarked silver and gilt but I believe it is. Certainly better quality than an ORs badge. Am I correct in thinking that the GM scroll type is a post-WW2 badge?
My Northamptonshire Yeomanry posting didn't meet with universal acclaim and we Colonials are sensitive folk. It was my last badge picked up in London today and so back home it is. All good fun, cheers Dean. Last edited by mooke07; 09-09-16 at 04:00 PM. |

The P stamped on the reverse would suggest plated not Silver, nice item.

That's the last pattern badge before changed. They ended up as Sqn in the RLC but the lineage is a bit tenuous.
The P for plated is obvious now I looked for it!. This is a good site for their history: http://www.pembrokeyeomanry.org.uk/ |

Thanks and yes apologies meant to say silver plated. It was a bit of too good to be true to be honest as I paid 3 pounds for it.
I like the pic of "under orders for overseas" from 1916, nice link thanks Alan, cheers Dean. |

Yes was we'll chuff as it is quite hard to find such badges in Australia despite so much migration relative to the numbers of badges and population here.
Back again before Christmas and see what I can find on my travels then, cheers Dean. Last edited by mooke07; 09-09-16 at 04:20 PM. |

Nice pick up Dean, here's one with the gilt in great condition. Sold another recently on eBay, very little interest & was bought by a dealer for very little.

That is a really nice example Kevin. Not the largest unit either so you would think there would be more interest, cheers Dean.
